Please provide a description of your practice.
I counsel businesses on how to secure and protect intellectual property rights. I devote most of my time to intellectual property litigation and protecting clients’ brands and technologies, often related to e-commerce, software, products, and the electrical and mechanical arts.
Why you are a member of the WBAI?
The WBAI offers unique opportunities to its members, such as networking opportunities with many strong, brilliant women lawyers in numerous practice areas. I also appreciate that the WBAI devotes significant time and resources to helping its members hone their leadership, advocacy, and negotiation skills. For example, I particularly enjoyed the Women’s Leadership Institute last year because it embodied the WBAI’s devotion to providing excellent and unique programming to its members.
What you are most looking forward to this fall?
Hard to pick what I am most looking forward to among whether the Supreme Court shakes up IP law through any of the several IP cases already on its docket; welcoming WBAI’s new members at the reception October 4th; or cheering on my favorite football team – The University of Michigan Wolverines!
Tell us a fun fact about you.
I am an active volunteer to many organizations, including through Children’s Home + Aid, where I serve as the Development Chair for the Associate Board, and as a mentor for a young woman in foster care.
