Please provide a description of your practice.

I defend health care providers and institutions in medical negligence, product liability and other types of litigation.

Why are you a member of the WBAI?

I have always taken great interest in the development of women and other young attorneys within my law firm, as have my partners.  For many years, most of that time was spent with various firm committees and practice groups, as well as one-on-one in daily work.  Only a few years ago, and quite late I must admit, I realized how important it is to be connected with women attorneys outside one’s immediate workplace.   I owe that to former WBAI President Gena Whitson-Owen, who pulled me in.  It took only one event to see that the WBAI is made of women who just “get” each other and what it takes to be happy, successful and balanced in life and work, and that this path is different for everyone.  Having that network at any career stage is priceless, whether you are on your way up or reaching back to help others.

What are you most looking forward to in 2017?

Unprecedented gains by women uniting and empowering each other for opportunity and equality.

Tell us something interesting about you.

I am one of the few who fled Chicago for the suburbs, yet is making good on the claim she will return after sending the kids off to college.  Destination:  a gut rehab in Ukranian Village that is just about done.
