Megan Shore

Attorney & Founder // Shore Law, LLC

Please provide a description of your practice.
I am a Plaintiff’s attorney who litigates cases involving sexual assault, medical malpractice, wrongful death, birth injury, nursing home abuse and neglect, assisted living abuse and neglect, and community integrated living arrangement (CILA) abuse and neglect. I also provide nursing home and medical malpractice consulting services to attorneys across the country with a focus on e-discovery, electronic medical records, and audit trails.

Why are you a member of the WBAI?
I am a member of the WBAI because women are stronger when we support each other. Seeing the success of WBAI members motivates and inspires me. I am a woman who wakes up and loves what she does, so I want to be surrounded by other amazing women who feel the same and do so much for the legal community.

What do you think is the best way to empower women in law?
To encourage women to be exactly who they are without apology. I see too many young female lawyers trying to be like someone else instead of finding their own style. We need to stop thinking “I wish that was me” and started thinking “ok, I can do that too.” But in order to do that, it is important that we all help each other by sharing our knowledge and resources with one another. No one knows it all, and we must be willing to learn as well as teach.

What are you most looking forward to in the following year, personally/professionally?

In person events as opposed to Zoom! I miss everyone!

Tell us something interesting about you.

I graduated Pre-Med Biology with a background in business management. I originally wanted to be a physician but shifted gears to medical malpractice. I have zero regrets.

I compete in latin ballroom dance.

I traveled to seven countries in 2021 alone.
