Why are you a member of the WBAI?
I am a member of the WBAI for so many reasons. The WBAI offers an amazing opportunity for a young women lawyers like myself to network with some great, successful women and to develop strong mentorship relationships. I’ve learned skills through the WBAI to build on my own professional development.

What do you think is the best way to empower women in law?
I think the best way to empower women in the law is to continuously encourage and lift up your fellow woman. Sharing our collective knowledge and experiences with other women through networks and mentoring can help us all continue to break through that glass ceiling. I have been fortunate enough to meet some amazing women lawyers both at my firm and through the WBAI who have provided me guidance and taught me skills that have helped me get to where I am today.

What are you most looking forward to in the following year, personally/professionally?
My firm just recently formed a new practice group that focuses on compliance with the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA) and defense of class actions brought under the Act. I am looking forward to helping my firm build on this new practice and to advising my clients on this uncharted area of the law.

Personally, I’m looking forward the summer and taking a trip out to Jackson Hole, Wyoming.

Tell us something interesting about you.
Last winter, I had the privilege of attend the Paralympics in PyeongChang, South Korea. The strength and perseverance of those athletes left me awestruck and humbled.
