Founding Partner // Falkenberg Ives LLP
Description of your practice
I am a commercial litigator, with a focus on healthcare, professional liability, and general commercial litigation. I co-founded my current commercial litigation boutique, Falkenberg Ives LLP, just over a year ago and we focus on providing high caliber representation in litigation and arbitration for companies that value creativity and efficiency. We have a great team and it makes going to work fun. More information about the firm can be found at www.falkenbergives.com.
Why are you a member of the WBAI?
I love meeting other women lawyers in the community! Every time I go to a WBAI event, I leave having had a great time (which, as we all know, is not the case with all networking events). Now that I have my own firm, I hope to learn from others within in the organization and grow my network for business development purposes. Lastly, I am on a never-ending quest to find other ladies that golf.
What is your definition of “having it all”?
My definition of having it all is genuinely looking forward to both going to work and going home to my family at the end of the day. I am lucky enough to feel that way (most days).
What are you most looking forward to in 2017?
Just a few weeks ago my husband and I took a trip for our ten-year anniversary to Munich, Germany for Oktoberfest and Interlaken, Switzerland for outdoor adventuring. It was our first trip of any length away from our kiddos and it was a blast! That adventure will be hard to top.
Tell us something interesting about you.
I am allergic to grapes so I cannot drink wine. (Sympathy cards can be addressed to my attention at work.)
