Description of your practice:

I primarily handle foreclosures, where I manage one of our teams that covers all the collar counties of Chicago.  We handle cases from beginning to end, as well as any matters and issues that may come up during this process. In addition to foreclosure actions, I partner with our litigation, eviction and mediation teams.

Why are you a member of the WBAI?

In an effort to be a part of a group that had similar goals and ideals, I joined the WBAI because it encourages its members to strive for what they want and assist each other in the process. It has been enlightening and inspiring to find a group of brilliant like-minded professionals who want nothing more than to support one another. It promotes a camaraderie and strength in numbers approach that is just awesome to see and be a part of.

What is your definition of “having it all” OR What are the ways you try to achieve work/life balance?

I try to achieve a work/life balance by remembering that I should treat every day as the blessing it is. I work hard daily so I can go home with a feeling of accomplishment, and be ready to enjoy time with my husband and my large puppy Maverick. I try to make time for my favorite things like working out and getting together with family and friends. I truly can say that I work for an amazing women-owned firm with wonderful leaders who encourage a good and equal work/life balance.

What are you most looking forward to in 2017?

My wedding was in early 2017 so that, by far, was the highlight of the year for me. Now, I am looking forward to fostering a healthy marriage, while continuing to build my career and enjoying this gorgeous fall weather. However, unlike most, I don’t dread winter because we enjoy snowmobiling so I have something to look forward to.

Tell us something interesting about you.

While I was in college I was fortunate enough to be able to go to Ghana, Africa, on a mission trip. We stayed and worked with the Brothers of Holy Cross. Not only did I learn about their culture and people, but it cultivated my passion for community outreach.
