Why are you a member of the WBAI?
I am a member of WBAI because of all the networking opportunities and the ability to gain insight from so many amazing women. I have attended multiple events and I am relieved when I am sharing my struggles and find someone who has already dealt with that who then offers me guidance.
What do you think is the best way to empower women in law?
The best way to empower women in law is to keep hosting events where women can gather and discuss their practice/give advice to women who are getting started! It is empowering to see so many successful women in different fields of law. For me personally, I didn’t have practice speaking to attorneys growing up as a first generation law student so I found it intimidating at first but it’s been a lot easier with WBAI’s networking events.
What are you most looking forward to in the following year, personally/professionally?
Personally, I am most looking forward to law school graduation in May 2025. Professionally, I am most looking forward to continuing my networking efforts in hopes of securing a post-graduate offer as an Associate Attorney.
Tell us something interesting about you.
I am a first generation law student and I have immersed myself in the Moot Court Honors Program at school and I am currently serving as the Chief Justice. It has been an amazing experience and I am excited to compete at the HNBA competition in Atlanta in my last semester of law school.
