Cynthia Pietrucha

Employment Severance Attorney // Pietrucha Law Firm, LLC

Please provide a description of your practice.
My practice is dedicated to giving workers a fair chance to dispute unfair employment decisions.

Why are you a member of the WBAI?
When I first started practicing law, I was 8-months pregnant, and I wasn’t sure how I would be able to practice law and raise a family. I happened to attend a suburban WBAI meet and greet and was relieved to meet a partner who was pregnant, too. Speaking to this law firm partner inspired me to search for balance practicing law and having a family. It’s still a work in progress to find balance, but I joined WBAI because of the partner I met so many years ago. I really wanted to connect with women who share similar goals.

What do you think is the best way to empower women in law?
I think the best way to empower women in law is to support each other by sharing lessons learned. I practice plaintiff’s employment law, and most management-side attorneys, especially in litigation, are male. In a sea of male attorneys, I’m always looking for great women attorney role models.

What are you most looking forward to in the following year, personally/professionally?

In the following year, professionally I’m looking forward to explore new practice areas, especially data privacy in digital advertising. In my personal life, I’m looking forward to a great summer full of travel without masks!

Tell us something interesting about you.

I play the flute, and a few years ago I was invited to play principal flutist with the Oconomowoc chamber orchestra in Oconomowoc, Wisconsin.
