Please provide a description of your practice.

Why are you a member of the WBAI?
WBAI is such a welcoming and fun organization. I’ve met so many smart and accomplished women who have demonstrated that we can juggle a thriving practice, a satisfying home life, while also meaningfully engaging in the community and our networks.
What do you think is the best way to empower women in law?
We can empower women by allowing flexibility in the workplace and work hours, offering mentorship opportunities, and by giving women an opening to do big, important projects at work, thus signaling that there is support and confidence behind them.
What are you most looking forward to in the following year, personally/professionally?
I am looking forward to some of the great events planned, including the golf outing, putt putt event, and the domestic relations CLE’s. Personally, I hope to travel with my husband and two boys, enjoy our home and backyard during the last month or so of summer.
Tell us something interesting about you.
I was a former Cook County State’s Attorney and practiced in Juvenile court for several years. I now have a budding niche practice in DCFS Administrative Appeals and will be presenting on the topic at a Chicago Symposium on October 10 at DePaul Law School entitled A Practitioner’s Guide to Navigating Child Protective Services in Illinois.
