We are currently seeking a collaborative, adaptive, and driven licensed attorney to fill the role of Contracts Officer in the Office for Sponsored Research. This would be a fantastic opportunity for a licensed attorney who is seeking a good work/life balance, and who is looking to utilize the skills they learned in law school and in practice in a non-attorney role focusing on supporting the research mission of Northwestern University. The Contracts Officer is not part of Northwestern University’s Office of General Counsel, and is not counsel to the university; rather, the Contracts Officer sits in the Office for Sponsored Research and is engaged in active negotiation of confidentiality agreements, material transfer agreements, and some research agreements – all related to sponsored research at a world-class research university. The position is based on the Chicago campus.
