On May 25th, The WBAI was proud to support Women Employed’s Working Lunch at the Palmer House Hilton, celebrating 50 years of Smashing the Status Quo for working women. At The Working Lunch, Women Employed (WE) honored people and organizations who have used their power to open doors, crash ceilings, and create fundamental and systemic change.

For their 50th anniversary, Women Employed highlighted how they’ve smashed the status quo for working women over the past five decades, and also looked ahead as they continue breaking down barriers, opening doors, and providing all women with support to grow their economic power.
The Working Lunch is attended by activists, community partners, and prominent leaders in philanthropy, business, media, and politics, with all proceeds going toward Women Employed’s mission and purpose. The Working Lunch, WE’s signature event, is not only a celebration of WE’s achievements but also recognizes the accomplishments of individuals and organizations who have dedicated their careers to using their power to boldly advance economic equity for women and make an impact at the intersection of gender and race.
Congratulations to WE’s 50 years of accomplishments with many more to come!
