The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois proudly congratulates WBAI Past President Whitney K. Siehl on completing this year’s Chicago Marathon, marking her 13th Chicago Marathon and 17th marathon overall—an extraordinary personal and athletic milestone.
Beyond the marathon course, Whitney continues to demonstrate leadership and service through her work with the Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA). Now completing her first year on the CARA Board of Directors, Whitney contributes to the organization’s mission of supporting and advocating for the Chicagoland running community through training programs, races, education, and volunteer initiatives.
A longtime CARA volunteer, Whitney has served as a marathon group leader and pacer since 2017. Her dedication to mentoring runners—particularly first-time marathoners—earned her CARA’s Lincoln Park Training Location Service Award in 2021. CARA has recognized Whitney for embodying its mission through her commitment to helping runners achieve goals they once thought were out of reach.
The WBAI is proud to celebrate Whitney’s continued achievements, leadership, and service—both within our legal community and beyond. Congratulations, Whitney, on another remarkable year!
