The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois proudly congratulates WBAI Past President Whitney K. Siehl on her promotion to partner at Hagens Berman, effective January 2026.
Whitney, who practices in the firm’s Chicago office, co-leads Hagens Berman’s data breach, privacy, and cybersecurity practice and contributes significantly to the firm’s antitrust and consumer protection work. Her promotion reflects years of impactful advocacy on behalf of consumers, students, investors, and survivors harmed by corporate misconduct.
Since the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, Whitney has represented hundreds of thousands of university students nationwide, resulting in more than $28 million in settlements to date, pending court approval. As a member of the firm’s sexual abuse and harassment litigation team, she has also helped secure justice for survivors in landmark cases, including a $17.1 million settlement fund involving Harvey Weinstein and a $215 million fund for survivors of USC’s Dr. George Tyndall.
Whitney’s work exemplifies the values at the heart of WBAI’s mission—using the law as a tool for accountability, equity, and meaningful change. In addition to her legal practice, she has been a dedicated leader within our organization, serving as President of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois during the 2023–2024 bar year. In 2024, she was also recognized by Chicago Law Bulletin Media as one of its Top Women in Law.
Hagens Berman announced Whitney’s promotion alongside two other attorneys across its U.S. offices, recognizing their skill, dedication, and commitment to the firm’s mission of protecting the public through complex litigation.
WBAI is proud to celebrate Whitney’s continued success and leadership, and we congratulate her on this well-deserved milestone.
