On August 29th, the WBAI, ISBA and IBF participated as a team in Race Judicata, a 5k walk/run to benefit Chicago Volunteer Legal Services. This event draws thousands of members from the legal community to participate in a scenic run/walk around Lincoln Park and gather for live music, food, and camaraderie.
While some compete to win the race, others focus on taking home the prized trophy for the t-shirt contest winner. Last year, the WBAI took home an impressive 3rd place in the t-shirt contest, our first time competing, and won “Crowd Favorite!” THIS year, the WBAI took home 1st place in the t-shirt contest with its Taylor Swift-inspired t-shirts! Based on the album cover for “The Tortured Poets Department,” the t-shirts boasted, “The Tortured Lawyers Department” and were a dead-ringer for the album cover. We’re already thinking about our t-shirts for next year’s race!
