On August 31st, the WBAI participated in Race Judicata, a 5k walk/run to benefit Chicago Volunteer Legal Services (CVLS). This event draws thousands of members of the legal community to participate in a scenic run/walk around Lincoln Park and gather for live music, food, and camaraderie.
While some compete to win the race, others focus on taking home the prized traveling trophy for the t-shirt contest winner. WBAI President Whitney Siehl was the mastermind behind our Barbie-themed t-shirts and tent decor. For our first time competing, the WBAI took home an impressive 3rd place in the t-shirt contest, and won “Crowd Favorite”! A handful of shirts are still available for purchase on the WBAI website.
WBAI’s team was co-captained by Kim Brancato and Maeve Riordan.
