On September 17, the WBAI hosted a timely CLE program, Protecting the Ballot: What Would the SAVE Act Mean in Illinois? The program examined the implications of the SAVE Act and a recent executive order from the Trump Administration, offering attendees an in-depth look at the potential impact on voting rights and election law in Illinois.
Panelists guided participants through the current legal landscape, including pending litigation challenging the SAVE Act, and highlighted meaningful ways lawyers can engage with national, state, and local efforts to safeguard democracy and uplift the voices of impacted communities.
The CLE provided not only critical legal insight but also actionable tools for members to strengthen democratic participation and advocacy across Illinois.
