Vedder Price P.C. // Associate Attorney

Description of your practice:

My practice focuses on commercial litigation as well as governmental and regulatory investigations. I handle complex commercial disputes ranging from non-compete/restrictive covenant litigation to securities class actions. I also represent clients before regulatory and governmental agencies such as the Securities and Exchange Commission, FINRA and the FDIC.

Why are you a member of the WBAI?

I joined the WBAI at the suggestion of a former colleague. She encouraged me to join the organization because she had met so many amazing, inspiring and supportive women through her participation. I continue to be a member of the WBAI because I, too, have met so many amazing, inspiring and supportive women.

What is your definition of “having it all” OR What are the ways you try to achieve work/life balance?

I don’t believe in such a thing as “having it all” because if you “have it all,” there is never anything to strive for, work towards or challenge yourself with. In terms of trying to achieve work/life balance, I do just that—I try. I have two amazing young boys and when I’m with them, I try to focus on them and what we are doing together, and when I’m at work, I try to focus on work. It does not always turn out that way but I’m fortunate to have a loving, supportive family that can help out when we need it.

What are you most looking forward to in the coming months OR 2018?

Seeing what new, exciting and interesting adventures and challenges life has in store.

Tell us something interesting about you.

I used to work at a radio station before law school doing marketing and promotions, and I spent my days meeting musicians, actors, comedians, and other entertainers and my nights at bars and concerts with DJs, liquor representatives and crazy radio/music fans who would do almost anything for a free T-shirt.
