Please provide a description of your practice.
Plaintiff’s Personal Injury Medical Malpractice
Why are you a member of the WBAI?
Since becoming a member of the Illinois Bar, I have been a strong advocate for support of women in the profession. Over my 25 year career as a trial attorney, I have had the opportunity to learn from and mentor several women trial attorneys. I have deep respect for the leadership in the profession from women Judges, colleagues and opponents that make my practice more fulfilling. I am proud to say my oldest child, Aly LaMantia has earned her way and is now also a trial attorney here in Chicago. I believe that supporting and being active in the WBAI allows me to give back as thanks for all that women have achieved in the profession.
What do you think is the best way to empower women in law?
By mentoring, supporting, hiring, promoting and providing every opportunity necessary for women to achieve what they want to in the law profession.
What are you most looking forward to in the following year, personally/professionally?
I have been given the opportunity to manage, grow and expand the Chicago office of a very high profile national medical malpractice firm, and that challenge excites me. I am also looking forward to supporting and promoting our trial associate, Soobin Lee, to greater leadership in the WBAI.
Tell us something interesting about you.
When I am not practicing law I am musician and songwriter. I have been playing guitar in bands across Chicagoland since I was in High School and have enjoyed performing in Chicago’s best music venues while releasing 4 albums of original songs.
