Please provide a description of your practice.
My practice includes Residential and Commercial Real Estate Transactions and Entity Formation. I represent buyers and sellers throughout the transaction process and attend Closings with all of my buyers. I also help clients form business entities such as LLCs or Corporations.
Why are you a member of the WBAI?
I moved (officially) to Chicago a little over a year ago from Florida. I wanted to expand my professional circle while getting involved with the legal community here in Chicago. Post-Bar I was having a hard time searching for job opportunities and COVID restricted the number of new job openings and interviews. One day, I opened the WBAI portal and found my dream job opportunity – and now job. I couldn’t thank the WBAI community for setting me up with an amazing firm.
What do you think is the best way to empower women in law?
I think it’s important to instill in women that we have the power, and right, to be confident in our ability to practice and negotiate in the legal community/world. In order to do this, I think a supportive and encouraging group, like WBAI, can help women all over realize and utilize their voice and skills. It’s important that we as women help each other flourish to become better and greater individuals.
What are you most looking forward to in the following year, personally/professionally?
I just began my legal career this year. With this, I am looking forward to expanding my professional career and growing into a stronger young attorney. I am also eager to expand my practice area and pick up a new skillset in the next few months.
Tell us something interesting about you.
I love to stay active! When I was younger, I played softball and participated in Serbian Folklore dancing. Now, I love to take Hot Yoga classes, Lagree Pilates classes or run on Lake Shore Drive (albeit, the season is coming to an end).
