The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois proudly congratulates Incoming WBAI President Katherine (“Katie”) A. Twardak on her promotion to Partner at Tomasik Kotin Kasserman, LLC (TKK).

Katie brings more than a decade of experience in complex civil litigation and has built a distinguished career representing clients in high-stakes personal injury cases, with a particular focus on medical malpractice. Since joining TKK in 2019, she has become known for her strategic advocacy, compassion for her clients, and deep knowledge of the law.

Recognized repeatedly as a Super Lawyers Rising Star, Katie is actively involved in numerous professional organizations, including the Illinois State Bar Association, Illinois Trial Lawyers Association, and, of course, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. She will be sworn in as the 111th President of the WBAI this June, continuing her longstanding commitment to the advancement of women in the legal profession.

As Partner, Katie will continue to focus on representing individuals and families in catastrophic injury and medical malpractice cases. “Beyond her top-notch legal skills, Katie’s tireless commitment to our clients stands out as her greatest asset,” said TKK Founding Partner Dan Kotin. “She’s also a natural leader, which makes her a perfect fit for partnership at TKK.”

Please join us in celebrating Katie’s well-earned achievement and her continued leadership within the WBAI and the broader legal community.
