The Women’s Bar Association of Illinois proudly congratulates Hon. Sanjay T. Tailor on his appointment to the Supreme Court of Illinois.
Justice Tailor brings decades of distinguished service to this role. He has served the people of Cook County as a trial judge for more than 20 years, was appointed to the Appellate Court in 2022, and has held leadership roles including Presiding Judge of the County Division. His career reflects deep experience across multiple divisions of the Circuit Court of Cook County, as well as a longstanding commitment to judicial education and access to justice.
A cum laude graduate of Loyola University Chicago School of Law, Justice Tailor has taught civil procedure there since 2004 and has served the legal community in private practice, public service, and judicial leadership. He is an active member of several Supreme Court commissions and committees and a past president of the Lawyers Club of Chicago.
We congratulate Justice Tailor on this well-deserved appointment and wish him continued success in his service to the people of Illinois.
