WBAI Delegate, Second District, Lake County
On May 26, 2015 the Second District House of Delegates of the WBAI hosted a networking reception in collaboration with the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County. The event was held at Micky Finn’s in Libertyville. Welcoming remarks were given by (i) Honorable Elizabeth Rochford of the 19th Judicial Circuit, Lake County Illinois; (ii) Kathleen Curtin, President of the Association of Women Attorneys of Lake County; and (iii) Eugena A. Whitson-Owen, past president of WBAI. The event was attended by a special guest, Katherine Rago, who obtained her law degree in 1944 and shared with the attendees some wonderful memories of her work as one of the few women attorneys at that time. The event was well attended and everyone left with a clearer understanding of the importance of collaboration and inclusion among the groups of women attorneys.
