On October 10, the Schiller DuCanto & Fleck Family Law Center at DePaul College of Law hosted its annual Symposium, planned and organized by Assistant Dean and Director and WBAI member, Kathryn Liss. This year’s focus was on navigating child protective services in Illinois. WBAI Board member Caidi Mammas Vanderporten sat on a panel moderated by WBAI member Erin Wilson, discussing the intersection between domestic relations practice and DCFS contact. Past WBAI President Lori Levin sat on a panel to discuss the investigation of DCFS allegations from the attorney and court’s perspective. It was an informative day highlighting a vital topic that is often overlooked.
