On March 1, 2023, The Marq in Chicago was abuzz with the sounds of clinking glasses, laughter, and lively conversations as the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois (WBAI) hosted its annual law student and young lawyer happy hour event.
The event was attended by board members, past presidents, attorneys, judges, law students, and young lawyers from across the state. Guests enjoyed an evening of fun, networking, and career development tips.
Throughout the night, attendees mingled and exchanged business cards, discussing everything from their legal specialties to their favorite cocktail spots in the city. The atmosphere was electric, with a palpable sense of excitement and camaraderie in the air. As one law student remarked, “It’s great to be surrounded by so many accomplished women who are all rooting for each other’s success.”
Overall, the WBAI law student and young lawyer happy hour was a smashing success, providing attendees with the opportunity to make valuable connections, gain career insights, and have a great time doing it. We can’t wait to see what the WBAI has in store for next year’s event!
