Announcing the 2025 WBAI + Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence Partnership to Assist Domestic Violence Survivors Achieve Independence

By: Tracey L. Schroeder

This bar year, the WBAI is proud to announce its 2025 partnership with the Illinois Coalition Against Domestic Violence (ICADV) Virtual Legal Clinic. As the federally designated statewide coalition for domestic violence service providers in Illinois, ICADV serves as the collective voice advocating for survivors and their children across the state.

In alignment with our mission to protect and promote the rights of women, WBAI is committed to supporting ICADV by recruiting pro bono attorneys to staff the Virtual Legal Clinic.

Do you have an hour to make a difference in a survivor’s life? The clinic seeks volunteer attorneys to provide virtual consultations—just one session per month can help someone take a critical step toward independence.

The Virtual Legal Clinic is looking for attorneys with experience in:
• Divorce/Legal Separation
• Child Custody
• Maintenance
• Employment Law
• Landlord/Tenant & Housing Issues
• Immigration
• Credit/Debt Counseling & Bankruptcy
• Civil Protection Orders
• Guardian Ad Litem (GAL)

Join us in using the power of the law to empower survivors. Sign up today to be part of this life-changing initiative!
