I love getting to know women in the legal community outside of my practice area. The WBAI has been such a wonderful foundation for many friendships, key mentors, and connections over the past several years, and I’m proud of the work we do to promote women in the practice of law."

Lauren Tuckey

Lauren N. Tuckey is finishing her term as president of the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois. During her tenure the organization advanced legislative initiatives affecting women. The organization re-established WILPower, a political action committee, to hire a lobbyist to advocate that Illinois pass paid parental leave legislation. The organization joined an Amicus brief on the Dobbs case implicating a woman’s autonomy over her body under Roe v. Wade and joined the Women’s March for Productive Rights. The organization advanced its focus on diversity by hiring a diversity consultant and establishing recurring networking events with the Asian American Bar Association of the Greater Chicago Area, and Korean American Bar Association of Chicago, LAGBAC, and the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois. Ms. Tuckey is proud to have served as president and to have contributed in any way to the community through the WBAI’s mission.

Lauren is an experienced and aggressive corporate litigator. Outside of the courtroom Lauren serves as Secretary of the Illinois Bar Foundation, and a pro bono Guardian Ad Litem for Chicago Volunteer Legal Services.
