
Jane Sitorius is an associate at Barnes & Thornburg, LLP. Jane is a member of the firm’s healthcare department and her practice focuses on advising healthcare providers regarding regulatory, transactional, and general corporate matters. Jane regularly advises clients with respect to provider licensure issues and requirements, as well as Medicare and Medicaid enrollment processes and compliance requirements. She represents a variety of providers, including physician groups, pharmacies, fertility centers, and large hospital systems.
Prior to joining Barnes & Thornburg, Jane worked as in-house counsel for YMCA of the USA, where she developed and implemented HIPAA and Medicare compliance programs, conducted HIPAA audits, and drafted and negotiated third party payor agreements.
Jane earned her undergraduate degree in public relations from The University of Texas in 2009, and her Juris Doctor, cum laude, and Masters in Health Administration from The Ohio State University in 2015. While in law school, Jane served as the Treasurer of the Public Interest Law Foundation, Treasurer of the Health Law Society, Issue Editor of I/S: A Journal of Law and Policy for the Information Society, and was a Public Service Fellow. She also received a CALI award for the highest grade in Health Law and Law and Genetics, and received the BNA/ABA Award for Excellence in Health Law.
In addition to the WBAI, Jane is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and the Illinois Association of Healthcare Attorneys. She previously served as a co-chair for the Young Lawyers Section of the Health and Hospital Law Committee for the Young Lawyer’s Section of the Chicago Bar Association.
