
Leilani Ana-Maria Pino is a skilled trial attorney. Currently, Ms. Pino is the General Counsel for the Cook County Medical Examiner’s Office. She was previously an Assistant State’s Attorney at the Cook County State’s Attorney’s Office (CCSAO) in the Municipal Litigation Division. Prior to joining the CCSAO, Ms. Pino was a Managing Attorney at Trunkett & Trunkett, P.C. where she successfully represented corporate clients and financial institutions in consumer and commercial disputes in both state and federal courts.
While in law school, Ms. Pino was the Advance Directive Editor for the Annals of Health Law Journal and a Junior Editor for the Children’s Legal Rights Journal. She was a law clerk at the Illinois Attorney General’s Office, the Illinois State Appellate Defender’s Office, and the Cook County Public Defender’s Office. After law school, she handled criminal defense cases in a private firm.
Ms. Pino is very active in the community. She is a Council Member on the City of Chicago Mayor’s Latin American Engagement Council. She was appointed as the Judicial Evaluations Chair for the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois. She serves on the Government Committee of the Illinois State Bar Association. Ms. Pino also serves on the Dean’s Diversity Council for Loyola University Chicago.
